SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic - The #1 Dermatologist Recommended Vitamin C Serum
Last month, I visited the dermatologist for the first time since I was in Junior High when I had severe acne. As a child of the ’70s, I spent my fair share of summer days thoroughly coated in baby oil (with iodine) lying out in the sun. I am ashamed to admit that my friends and I were so obsessed with getting that golden tan that we would climb on top of the roof to be closer to the sun. If we happened to be out of baby oil, we were not above-using vegetable oil. I suffered through many sunburns over the years before I finally stopped using baby oil and at least used something with sunscreen in it, even if it was only SPF 15.
Suffice it to say that I learned my lesson and have spent the last thirty years trying to overcome the mistakes I made in my youth related to sun damage. Like most women, I am perpetually seeking the proverbial “fountain of youth.” I have tried all sorts of products that promise to reverse the signs of aging and give me back the skin that I failed to take care of, to begin with.
As I have gotten older, I have noticed several spots on my body that I refer to as “sun spots” or “freckles”. The older I get, the more I notice. Finally, my husband convinced me to see a dermatologist and have them give my entire body a once over. I am extremely glad I did because she did, in fact, find a “suspicious spot” on my arm that she immediately removed. Other than that, she pronounced all of my “sun spots” as normal age-related spots. This is also a PSA for making sure you see a dermatologist immediately if you have any questions or concerns related to your skin.
As I was leaving, she recommended two face serums and said, “You will thank me.” Although she was obviously a little older than me, her skin looked amazing. So, I didn’t think twice before I rushed out and asked the receptionist where I could order them. She could have probably recommended ten things, and I would have bitten because she was a dermatologist and her skin was a testament that she was doing something right. I have been using these two products religiously as recommended, and I am very excited to recommend them both as I can tell a difference in how my skin feels and have begun noticing the lines around my eyes are not quite as pronounced.
I know that there are similar products on the market. You can find them at Ulta, department stores and even on Amazon. I have not had to replace mine yet because you only use a few drops daily. I am not affiliated with this product in any way. I just copied the link if you are interested.
If you order it, make sure you use it consistently for at least a month. Afterwards, email me at eva@n2the2ndact and let me know what you think.
